Through the last decade a silent revolution has started, which concerns the development of a big library with "digital" or "electronic" books. Even though there are still huge gaps, a very basic tool of the "Western" thought is available in the form of on-line books. The Digital Book Index is designated to operate as "Meta-Index" for the most important webpages of the electronic books, as well as for some thousands of smaller specialised websites.
The Digital Book Index provides more than 165.000 record titles, from more than 1800 trade and non-publishing companies, universities, and several personal webpages. More tha 140.000 of these books, the texts and the documents are available online, while some are available in low prices.
