Description: The electronic database HELLECON was build in the framework of the Operational Programme for Research and Technology (EPET II), Measure 2.4 ''National Information System - Creation and Development of Data and Information Bases for Science and Technology'' during 1998-2000 and concerns the sector of economic sciences. The titles' chronological coverage varies from 1830 until 2000.

The titles concern scientific publications of:
1. Greek economists concerning Greek economic issues,
2. Greek economists concerning economic issues of wider academic interest and
3. Foreign economists concerning Greek economic issues.

The main objectives of the project are:
1. To help Greek scientists and researchers who are interested in economic sciences bibliography,
2. To make the evaluation of the Greek research work in the economic sciences sector easier,
3. To create coherent archives (thesaurus, Greek authors list, list of foreign authors that work on Greek economic issues).
