The Library of the University of Macedonia
of Economic and Social Sciences

invites you to the Workshop
"Successful Project Management for Libraries:
What Matters & What Does Not"

to be held on Thursday, 18 October 2001, 9.00 a.m.
at the University Teleconference Hall (1st floor).
The Workshop is organised in the context of the
10th Panhellenic Academic Libraries Conference.

The goal of this workshop is to provide participants with both the basics of project management theory and practical suggestions / examples of ways to implement the theory in every day library management activities. In our professional as well as our personal lives, projects have become the norm rather than the exception. Understanding the key concepts and recognizing what matters and what does not in any given project scenario can greatly aid in getting the results you really want. Whether you are assigning a project to others, leading a project yourself, or functioning as a project team member, knowning as much as possible about the essential elements for success will make the best use of the time and talents within your organization.
