The Library of the University of Macedonia is pleased to announce the 10th Panhellenic Academic Libraries Conference (PALC) to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece from October 15 to October 17, 2001. The main subject of the conference is: The thematic areas of the conference are:
Management of Services: Organizing and redesigning library services, Information services, New services, Electronic services, Services to disabilities users, Remote services, Support of lifelong- and self-learning, Marketing and promotion of services/ material, etc. Management of Information: Bibliographic control and organization of information, Current and retrospective cataloguing, Digitization, MARC format, Opacs and library systems, Thesauri, Subject Headings, Authorities, Metadata, etc. Management of Access: Systems for accessing the information, Remote access, Access rights, Copyright, Common access, Common access rights, Management of access accounts, etc. Papers’ Abstracts: Structure of the abstract: Length: 300- 500 words Language: English Font: Times New Roman Font size: 12 pt Line spacing within paragraphs: single space Paper size: Á4 Margins: 2.5 cm (top, bottom, left, right) Line spacing between paragraphs: a blank single space Abstracts should be submitted in both print and electronic form (3.5’’ diskette or e-mail, MS Word 6.0 or 97). It is possible to send print abstracts by fax as well. Papers: Structure of a paper: Language: English Length: no more than 12 pages including charts, tables and figures. Font: Times New Roman Font size: 12 pt Paper size: Á4 Line spacing within paragraphs: single space Margins: 2.5 cm. (top, bottom, left, right) Line spacing between paragraphs: a blank single space. Papers should accompanied by a short curriculum vita and submitted in both print and electronic form (3.5’’ diskette or e-mail, MS Word 6.0 or 97). It is possible to send print papers by fax as well. We would be grateful, if you could send us the abstract of your presentation by July 20, 2001. Full text of papers should be sent until 10 September 2001 at the latest.
