The open access software dbWiz is a federated search tool which represent a really remarkable effort of Simon Fraser University Library of Canada. Pantou, the federated search tool of the Library & Information Center of University of Macedonia is based on dbWiz. Moodle was used in the implementation of Telemathea, an asynchronous education environment that supports the teaching of foreign languages and seminars at the University of Macedonia. Dspace was used to implement Psepheda, digital library & institutional repository of the University of Macedonia. The Scout Portal Toolkit (SPT) allows groups or organizations that have a collection of knowledge or resources they want to share via the World Wide Web to put that collection online without making a big investment in technical resources or expertise. SPT was used to implement Thira, Thematic Index of Internet Resources of the University of Macedonia Library and Information Center. Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP) is an add-on package for Linux that allows many people to simultaneously use the same computer. LTSP was used as the operating system for University of Macedonia Library public terminals.
